Gulet ALGARINA
OBLIGATORY ADDITIONAL COSTS:
It is obligatory to take one of the food options.
FOOD OPTIONS:
- half board (breakfast+lunch): 18 EUR/person per day
- dinner: 20 EUR/person per dinner (dinners are optional)
- drinks are not included in food prices
The price includes: the boat rental, 4 hours cruising per day (each additional hour of cruising is extra charged 40 eur), 3 crew members (Captain, cook and sailor), port taxes, bed sheets and towels, up to 6 hours/day of air conditioning per day, the use of all equipment on the boat.
The price excludes: food, beverages, additional meals, National park entrances, marina fees, special ports of embarkation and disembarkation out of base port, more than 4 hours of navigation per day (each additional hour is charged 30 eur), more than 6 hours of air conditioning per day (each additional hour 10 eur), tourist tax, one way charter fee.
The gulet Algarina was under complete renovation 2002. (new sails, stays, bowsprit, winches, tanks, windlass, etc), then 2006. when all the moving parts were replaced (engine etc), and final refit was made 2008.
All the materials on board are pine and teak, which gives her the sense of tradition.
Accommodation:
Five air-conditioned cabins, all with double beds and ensuite toilet. Large areas for sun bathing on deck and at the aft. Dining table at the aft seats up to 10 people and the table in the saloon seats up to eight people.
Navigation and safety equipment:
VHF, GPS, radar, one automatically inflatable SOLAS life raft for up to 16 persons, four large and six small fire extinguishers, fire alarms in all cabins and one first aid station. The engine room has been equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing device in accordance with international marine safety regulations.
Other equipment:
A galley fully equipped for ten guests, one freezer, two fridges, sun mattresses, 4.5m dinghy with a 15hp Johnson outboard engine, snorkelling gears, CD-player, books and family games.
Algarina is in excellent condition, fully rigged for sailing. She has 5 double cabins, all with air conditioning, large double beds and en-suite toilets with showers. There is a separate cabin for crew members. The complete equipped galley is situated next to the saloon and the outdoor dining area. There are wide areas at the aft and on the deck between the masts for resting, reading, sun bathing, etc.
Algarina is also equipped with modern instruments for safe navigation. Safety at sea is of utmost importance and m/y Algarina is well equipped in that regard. She has an automatically inflatable SOLAS life raft for 16 people. There are fire alarms in all cabins, fire extinguishers, life vests and life buoys.
A high pressure seawater pumping system can rapidly be used to put out fires. Furthermore, there is a first aid station on board with a wide assortment of different medicines and first aid utensils.
The guests are welcome if they wish to play a more active role in navigation. You may just relax in the sun on one of the many mattresses in the aft area or on deck, take a swim when anchored in a bay, snorkel in the clean sea, have fun fishing, take a dinghy for a short excursion (4 persons dighy) etc.
Equipment for snorkelling is available on board and there are also some fishing tools that you are welcome to use. The meals are prepared by the crew and served at the large table at the aft.
Fresh fruit including water melons, honey melons, grapes, peaches, figs, apples and apricots very often mark the end of the meal. Croatian wines are excellent and available at reasonable prices.
When it is time for dinner, Algarina is transformed into an outdoor restaurant with a fantastic view over a colourful landscape while the sun is setting in the West. After dinner you may enjoy a game of chess in the saloon and some of the younger passengers may wish to play one of the family games available on board, such as monopoly.
